Stingers Korfball Club

Games for both teams this weekend, Stingers 1 take on City 4 at 3pm whilst Stingers 2 play Dragons 2 at 4pm.

Unlike the previous Stingers 1 vs Stingers 2 game, this one didn’t quite go to plan for Stingers 1. Within minutes of starting Stingers 2 were 2-0 up and it didn’t stop there with Stingers 2 reaching the dizzy heights of being 5-0 up midway through the first half.

Stingers 1 finally managed to get a few shots on target, although not for the want of trying, the score being 6-3 to Stingers 2 at the half way stage.

Stingers 1 came out fighting in the second half and soon had the score at 6-6, but Stingers 2 kept nudging ahead leaving Stingers 1 to do the catching.

With five minutes left the score was at 8-8 but although there was lots of frantic attacking that’s the way it stayed – both teams earning 2 points each.

Just the one game this weekend, Stingers 2 take on UEA 2 at 6:40pm. We’re back at UEA Sportspark again this week!

It all started off well with Stingers 1 scoring 3 quick goals in the first 10 minutes to go 3-0 up. Unfortunately it then remained that way with Stingers seemingly unable to get the ball to go through the basket.

After the break Stingers 1 continued to struggle scoring and finally the defence gave way giving UEA 2 their first goal. Stingers quickly replied to make the score 4-1 but again struggled to score for the rest of the game allowing UEA 2 to slowly chip away at their lead and end the game 4-3 to Stingers 1.

Just the one game this weekend, the big Stingers 1 vs Stingers 2 clash!
